Thomas J. Powers, M.D. has been a family practitioner since 1989. He is a long-time resident of Lake Havasu City, where he and his wife raised their three daughters. Dr. Powers’ friendly and caring personality allows him to develop long lasting relationships with his patients, and he loves seeing them around town. You’ll often find him and his family enjoying time together out on the lake.

Dr. Powers earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Adams State University before going on to earn his Doctorate of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He attended three years of resident training at the University of Wisconsin and became the Chief Resident during his third year.

Dr. Powers was Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice from 1990 through 2004, and he is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. This board/academy evaluates physicians based on rigorous criteria to ensure they are maintaining standards of excellence in the speciality of Family Medicine.

From children to geriatric patients, Dr. Powers strives to provide quality medical care to all his patients throughout the entire Havasu community.
